Builder Meetup: Goose, Block's AI Agent

​Builder is a monthly AI meetup at Presidio Bitcoin for people who like to build. This edition features two members from Goose, Block's open-source AI agent.

​Mic Neale will open the evening with Mesh-LLM, a new peer-to-peer network that lets people pool spare compute to run open-model LLMs, making them more accessible for agents, chat, and other AI applications. He'll cover how a public, mainnet-style mesh works, how to set up smaller "friends and family" versions across different machines, and how AI workloads get distributed. He'll also dig into the inner workings of LLMs and why distributing them makes better use of available compute.

​Douwe Osinga will then walk through goose-perception, an experiment that lets Goose observe what's happening on your computer and keep a personal wiki up to date so it (or any agent) can understand you. By default, it tracks a todo list, the people you interact with, and your projects, but the prompt is fully configurable to fit your workflow.

​The evening will start with pizza and mingling from 6:00 to 6:30 pm, followed by discussion from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

​Expect plenty of room for Q&A, audience participation, and interactive discussion throughout. Easy, free parking is available right by the office.
