About Event

Most people assume that to understand Bitcoin mining, you need a degree in electrical engineering or a warehouse full of specialized industrial computers. While the business of mining has become highly industrialized, the underlying logic is incredibly elegant and accessible to anyone. This event shifts the focus away from the hardware arms race and onto the fundamental rules of the software, breaking down exactly how a computer confirms transactions and secures the global network.
Amol has been running meetups in Mumbai since 2024 and contributes to Bitshala.
Prior coding experience not required. A curious mind and a desire to look under the hood is.
Mining might happen on complex chips, but Bitcoin's security relies on rules anyone can understand.
Bitshala is a Bitcoin-focused education initiative where we help developers, designers, and curious builders learn by doing. We run cohorts, clubs, workshops, a hackerspace, and community programs that make it easier for people to explore, contribute to, and build on Bitcoin. Our focus is on hands-on learning, proof-of-work, and growing alongside a community of people who care about open technology, design, and the future of money.
