Our guest speaker is Randall Reed, a U.S. Navy veteran, A South Florida business owner, Bitcoin educator, and author with a passion for helping people understand Bitcoin beyond the basics. He is the author of The Jar on the Counter: A Beginner's Guide to Bitcoin UTXOs, where he explains one of Bitcoin's most misunderstood topics in plain English.
In this presentation, Randall will explore why Bitcoin transaction fees depend on data size—not the amount of bitcoin being sent—and how UTXOs influence fees, privacy, and long-term self-custody. Attendees will learn when UTXO consolidation makes sense, how coin control can improve privacy, and why the structure of your bitcoin today affects your flexibility tomorrow.
Whether you're new to Bitcoin or have been stacking sats for years, you'll leave with a practical understanding of UTXOs and a new perspective on managing your bitcoin with confidence and sovereignty.

Meeting Details
We spend the first 15 minutes socializing and having snacks. The presentations run from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. In this group, we mostly focus on Bitcoin and its monetary and technical properties. We also discuss other blockchains, protocols, and ALL aspects of Web 3. We welcome all questions from Basic to Advanced and pride ourselves on being inclusive, no matter where you are on your Web 3 journey.
