This is an out-and-back hike of about 10km on a mountain trail. Beside the initial mild ascend, it should be a relatively flat walk. It's a good time to visit the mountains, before they get cold, foggy and cloudy for the next half a year.
For the newcomers: Our walks are actually hikes. We often visit new places on the island, so even the organizers don't know exactly what to expect. So if there are unforeseeable steep ascends or descends, spiky bushes, mud or slippery stones, cows and goats on the path, sudden rain or fog or anything else - you are warned. This is Madeira, so expect Madeiran weather and terrain!
The weather should be partially sunny, partially cloudy with a possible drizzle. It is advised to bring ENOUGH water, good hiking shoes and a rain jacket.
Parking: the parking on this one is tricky. Look for places along the roads to park.
Meeting point: Estrada dos Terreiros, Portugal
